Putaruru, Neighboring town of Tokoroa, and nested between Tirau and Tokoroa, is a small farming town in the mighty Waikato region and is located on the Oraka River about 65km from Hamilton and the main town along state highway 1. Putaruru is a farming community town, surrounding the township are dairy farms and plantation forests of vast pine trees, the town itself hold a lot of scenic reserves and hold a lot of Maori history.
People
Putaruru is a small town full of farmers, elderly and families, the town is a very friendly city in New Zealand with awesome locals who are always willing to help.
